CHINESE ARCHAIC BRONZE COVERED TRIPOD VESSEL

Archaic bronze ritual food vessel and cover. The vessel raised on three cabriole legs emanating from animal mask knees. The sides with loop handles. The domed cover surmounted by three bird heads. A band of facing double hook symbols on both the cover and the body.

Formerly with Mayuyama & Co, Tokyo, Japan, 1949

Good condition except for one cover loop reattached

CHINESE GILT BRONZE OIL LAMP

The leaf-shaped oil cup and bobash beneath are supported by three Guardian Kings standing on a rimmed tray, in turn supported by four leaf adorned legs.

CHINESE CAST BRONZE FIGURE OF THE KING OF THE NORTH

The enthroned King is exquisitely sculpted displaying finely delineated facial features, robes, the four-clawed dragon medallion, as well as the snake entwined with the tortoise lying at his feet.
