Kano school gold leaf on paper-ground screen with gouache painting of a scene from the Tales of Genji depicting pine trees and an ox pulling a shuttered cart on a river road with five male attendants.

Good condition except for some torn hinges.

Massive carved elm wood (keyaki) teapot hangar (daikoku) showing two posts for suspension from the ceiling and a comma-shaped carved niche for suspending the teapot

LARGE JAPANESE LACQUERED AND SILVER ENAMELED QUAIL CAGE

The lacquered wood frame depicts Tokugawa Family Crest of 3 encircled Pawlounia leaves, gold vine meander and copper leaves. The solid silver fittings and escutcheons are similarly inscribed. Pressure fitted drop-down door in front.
